Family & Kids Workshops
NOTE: Online registrations close 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop. However, if a workshop is showing as not available online, call us anyway, because there might still be space for you.
Family Clay Sculpting Workshops: Come join us for an afternoon of creative play! The price includes one hand-sculpted piece per person. All ages are welcome, but if the child is 5 or under, parents will likely need to help their child sculpt their piece.
Every project has ample room for customization and creativity, so independent thinkers can take the projects in whatever direction they choose. Since the project changes each month, families can participate in multiple workshops and never get bored!
Reserve your space here.
NOTE: This is NOT a wheel throwing class. The wheel is recommended for kids 9+.
Family Pottery For families who want to try out the pottery wheel with their kids 9 and up, we offer this one-hour crash course on the first Saturday of each month. One piece finished and fired is included per person. Reserve your space here.
(Artsy) Kids’ Night Out! Join us every 3rd Friday for an art-themed kids night out! Parents can drop off their child(ren) for a fun night of exciting art activities supervised by the Kids’ Programing Instructor at Studio 550. Parents, here is a chance go enjoy an evening to yourselves. Children will spend 1 to 1.5 hours working on the project of the night. We will finish up with a pizza party and a child-friendly movie. Reserve your space here.
Kid’s Art Classes
Kid’s After School Classes All after school classes will focus in clay, but younger students will sculpt by hand, and older students will be focused on learning to use the pottery wheel. However, depending on the age mix, younger students may have a chance to try the wheel, and older students will also dabble in sculpting by hand. To see classes for kids 7-9 click here, and to see classes for kids 10 and up click here.
Kid’s Home School Classes Please contact the studio if you would like to schedule a class for a group of home school kids. With a group of 4 or more students, we can host classes on your schedule (pending teacher availability). Home schooled kids and other alternative education students are welcome to join any of our after school kids classes.
Our programming for Manchester School District vacations varies year to year based on our teacher availability. Please check back as they do change. You can count on us to offer clay classes during the week!
