Every year, we offer February, April, and Summer Camps in clay, drawing and painting for kids 9+. These camps are half day for a week.

For younger students we offer a shorter clay arts option called Clay Club that meets once a week for a shorter period of time.

Registration links will be updated here when they are available. Email us to be notified of when registration opens for upcoming camps.

ART CAMP 2022: We are working on craft camps for next summer that are “All Arts” including drawing, painting, clay & music. Please email us to be added to the interest list.

Refer friends or siblings for a 5% discounts!

Due to COVID there will be additional protocol for drop off/pick up that will be communicated with registrants directly and we will be operating these camps with reduced registration maximums.

Kid’s Art Classes

We offer two 6-week sessions every school semester.

Kid’s After School Classes Most after school classes focus in clay, with younger students sculpting by hand, and older students will be focused on learning to use the pottery wheel. However, depending on the age mix, younger students may have a chance to try the wheel.

Home School Classes Please contact the studio if you would like to schedule a class for a group of home school kids. With a group of 4 or more students, we can host classes on your schedule (pending teacher availability). Home schooled kids and other alternative education students are welcome to join any of our after school kids classes.

Parent & Child

NOTE: Online registrations close 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop. However, if a workshop is showing as not available online, call us anyway, because there might still be space for you.

Family Clay Sculpting Workshops: Come join us for an afternoon of creative play! The price includes one hand-sculpted piece per person. All ages are welcome, but if the child is 5 or under, parents will likely need to help their child sculpt their piece.

Every project has ample room for customization and creativity, so independent thinkers can take the projects in whatever direction they choose. Since the project changes each month, families can participate in multiple workshops and never get bored!

Reserve your space here.
NOTE: This is NOT a wheel throwing class. The wheel is recommended for kids 9+.

Family Pottery Wheel Workshops: For Ages 9+ only. Smaller bodies have a difficult time on the wheel, and we don’t want one’s first experience with the wheel to be frustrating simply because of body size!

This crash course on the pottery wheel includes a demonstration, about an hour on the wheel, some time for clean up, and at least one piece finished and fired per person. Extras may be kept for $5 each. Create side by side and have a blast making something that you can eat your snacks out of or drink from! Reserve your space here

Family Clay 5-Day Class Occasionally, we offer this short class. It is a great opportunity to learn a new skill with your child or grand child. We will use the wheel and explore different sculpture techniques. Kids 6+ are welcome but children under 9 may require more help from the adult with them. The instructor will be focused on giving equal attention to all students. It is held periodically throughout the year.

The price includes registration for two (1 adult & 1 child) in the 5 day course, materials & tools. Please email us the age of the child: info(at)550(dot)com Reserve your space
